VET at Baldivis Secondary College

VET stands for Vocational Education and Training.

Opportunities to do VET at Baldivis Secondary College include Pre-Apprenticeships in Schools, School-Based Apprenticeships and School-Based Traineeships. VET engages students in work related learning built on strategic partnerships between schools, registered training organisations (RTO), business, industry and the wider community.

 
 

How VET contributes towards WACE

VET industry specific courses are Authority-developed WACE courses where a full nationally recognised qualification is delivered and assessed according to industry specific standards with mandatory workplace learning included.  Achievement of these qualifications will contribute towards the WACE as course units.

 
 

VET at Baldivis Secondary College

At Baldivis Secondary College students have the option of completing Vocational Education and Training courses designed to assist them gain an industry recognised qualification and to make the transition from school to work and/or further studies.  The college has signed Memorandum of Understandings with a number of Registered Training Organisations to work in partnership with qualified college staff to deliver and assess nationally recognised vocational qualifications in a range of industry areas.
