In Drama, students will learn the ins and outs of the theatre, from the front of the stage to backstage. Students will study more complete scripts, with a focus on creating character, stage presentation techniques and an understanding of theatre processes. Students will also get the opportunity to create their own plays from a wide range of starting points, to create theatre pieces that communicate their own messages. An introduction to technical theatre aspects including lighting, sound and set design will ensure all students get a total insight into theatre life!
Pathways:
Students can confidently enrol in Drama courses in Year 9 and Year 10, leading up to either General or ATAR pathways in Years 11 and Year 12 Drama.
