Year 10

At Baldivis Secondary College, we consider Year 10 to be the first year of Senior School, because it is such an important year for students to consolidate their behaviours, habits and plans for the future.  The Year 10 program differs from the Year 9 program in that it includes one period of Tutorial and an additional period of Health Studies.

The Tutorial Program prepares students for the important task of selecting the courses they will study in their senior years.  Students investigate their future pathways through a structured program which helps them to plan their personal and learning goals for the future and make informed decisions about their personal development, education, and training options.

All Year 10 students complete the Keys for Life program as part of their Year 10 Health Studies course. The Keys for Life program assists young people to better understand the importance of driving practice, planning ahead, courteous and safer driving and safer vehicles.  Students gain licensing credits and achievement towards their WACE after completing all Keys for Life program requirements and by sitting the legitimate Learner’s Permit Theory Test at school.
