In Year 9, students are provided with opportunities to explore different media contexts, such as podcast making, infomercials and persuasive advertising, and game development and design.
Students extend and refine their skills and processes for problem-solving, working as a team, following timelines and using processes and strategies to ensure safe and responsible use of media equipment.
Prerequisites:
A “C” grade or better in Year 8 Arts and English.
Pathways:
Media Arts students will engage in a range of Media Arts contexts and have the opportunity to then specialise in Photography or Multimedia in Year 10, and subsequent General, VET and ATAR courses in Years 11 and 12.
