The Year 10 program begins to focus on rigour and skillset building in readiness for their entry into Years 11 and 12 at BSC and exposes the Year 10 cohort to issues, challenges and needs they will be confronted with as they journey to becoming young adults. During Physical Education lessons students will be exposed to the following practical contexts; Sofcrosse, Volleyball, Netball, Athletics, Soccer and Tennis.
The Health Education program is centred on; Relationship Development and Harm minimisation, safe party planning, STI’s, drugs in sport, alcohol and other drug awareness and the ‘Keys 4 Life’ initiative where students will be able to gain the initial component of their drivers license requirements through our comprehensive Term 4 exit competency.
To complete the programming in Year 10 Health and Physical Education students may elect to study Outdoor Education. The Year 10 course provides a ‘taster’ of the requirements for Outdoor Education in Years 11 and 12.
