Student Services

The Student Services Team play a fundamental role in providing a range of support and services to students and staff to assist with students achieving their learning objectives.

 

Career Development

By accessing available resources the Student Services Team can assistance with time management, stress management, study motivation or exam preparation.

 

Disability

Student Services provides a range of support services and facilities to assist students with disabilities to manage their studies effectively by assisting students to access and fully participate in study by negotiating their support needs and clarifying the information that will be passed on to academic staff.

 

Health and Wellbeing

By accessing available resources the  Student Services Team can provide support for a range of issues, including:

  • Personal, relationship and family issues
  • Effective study and academic progress problems
  • Exam anxiety, motivation and time management
  • Stress, grief and loss
  • Adjusting to high school

 

City of Rockingham Youth Services

The college has access to a Youth Worker from the City of Rockingham Youth Services one day a week.  The City of Rockingham Youth Worker is able to support students to deal with any emotional or social issues affecting them, provide advice on the wide range of services and resources available to meet those needs and support students in making good decisions.

 

How to Make an Appointment:

Students can make an appointment through the Student Services receptionist.

 

Emotional and Social Development

Each term Student Services organise a range of workshops, programs and events which promote the social and emotional growth and wellbeing of all college students.

 

Student Leadership

At Baldivis Secondary College student leadership is valued and cultivated by all staff.  The Student and Curriculum Services team plays a lead role in providing opportunities for student leadership and recognising student contributions to the college. The establishment of a Student Leadership Team will be an important first step in promoting student leadership.  However, the college will be providing numerous opportunities for all students to develop and practice leadership skills in a supportive learning environment and be recognised for the contributions they make to college life.
